About Almarah Foundation UK

While our foundation stems from the pioneering work of Almarah Foundation in Pakistan — known for its outstanding efforts in healthcare, orphan support, and disaster relief — our UK chapter is tailored to address the unique needs of communities across the United Kingdom.

We work across a range of sectors to alleviate poverty, respond to crises, support families, and build stronger, empowered communities. Our team is guided by a spirit of inclusivity and our initiatives are open to all regardless of background.

01

Our Mission

Feed the Hungry and we aspire to be like helpers. So we serve all people. No matter their religion, ethnicity, or gender.

02

Our Vision

To establish a shelter home for orphans containing in-house boarding school and health care facilities.

03

Our Value

Bringing Hope To Life — in every community we serve, every family we support, and every life we touch.

Since 1995

Our History

Feed the hungry program was first started by Maj (R) Rasheed Warraich (late) in 1995. Later on financial help was also included. Since then millions of people have been fed through this program and hundreds of families are being financially helped each month.

This process of serving has never been interrupted by any national or international disaster. After the sad demise of Rasheed Warraich sb in 2009, this mission was taken by his daughter, who not only continued this service but also expanded it to serve communities across the UK.

Our Objectives

To alleviate hunger by providing food assistance to the needy and marginalized sections of the population.

To provide educational assistance to the needy and deserving children and to establish, promote, finance and run educational institutions of all kind.

To provide financial assistance for arranging the marriages of the girls from the needy and marginalized sections of the population.

To provide financial assistance for arranging suitable healthcare for the needy and marginalized sections of the population.

To generally aid and perform charity actions for the betterment of the population, particularly in relation to health issues, economics, social problems, and crisis relief.

To create awareness for the welfare and betterment of the population.

To collaborate with other charitable organizations and receive aid from donors for charitable purposes.

To enter into agreements, contracts and arrangements with Governments, organizations, institutions, and bodies for the purpose of carrying out objectives.

Our Heritage

Global Roots & Inspiration

Our work in the UK is deeply inspired by the legacy of Almarah Foundation Pakistan. Operating since 2012, Almarah Pakistan has built hospitals, supported thousands of orphans, and provided essential aid during major natural disasters. This experience has shaped our commitment to deliver equally impactful services within the UK.

Almarah Foundation UK continues to collaborate with its sister organisation in Pakistan on select projects — such as international disaster response and seasonal campaigns — while keeping our main efforts focused on local UK needs.
